Location
South Bosque Veterinary Clinic is a small animal clinic who proudly serves the Waco, Texas community. Home to a small-town, no traffic vibe, with easy access to big city events and entertainment. Waco has so much to offer! Spend your days at the Silos at Magnolia Market, explore downtown with endless shopping venues, restaurants, and local breweries/wineries, or catch a Power 5, Big 12 sporting event associated with Baylor University. Perfectly situated between Austin and the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, it’s an easy hour and a half drive to major league sporting events, prime time music concerts, or to just enjoy a night out in the big city.
Practice Overview
South Bosque Veterinary Clinic is a six-doctor practice who fosters a team-oriented, encouraging work environment. We believe in the power of strong communication and collaboration. Our staff has found success by not only helping one another professionally but supporting each other in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our hospital is fully equipped with digital radiology, in-house lab equipment, ultrasound, a two-table surgical suite, and a two-table dental suite. We put a big emphasis on education, not only to help our clients be better pet owners, but so our doctors can also provide the best care. What You’ll Be Working On
- Build and maintain current and prospective client relationships
- Preventative wellness care, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of small animal cases
- Perform small animal surgeries and dental procedures
- Ensure quality care and environment for both staff and clients
- Provide education to clients and staff on recommendations and choices in care
- Maintain a positive, supportive and enjoyable work environment
- Guide, utilize, and mentor exceptional support staff
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
- Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Texas
- Minimum of two years of experience preferred, new grads are encouraged to apply
- Experience working small animal cases required
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

Veterinary Technician
Position Overview

What You’ll Be Working On
- Engaging and communicating with clients in a professional, friendly demeanor
- Educate clients on proper preventative care for their pets
- Getting and maintaining patient medical history information
- Assist the doctor with patient treatments, procedures and activities
- Monitor patients during surgeries, dentals or other treatments and report observations to doctors
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, serums or treatments under guide of doctor
- Aide in care of all hospitalized pets
- Assist with taking digital radiographs
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift 40 pounds required
- Ability to work 1-2 Saturday mornings per month required
- LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician) degree highly preferred but not required
- At least one year of prior veterinary experience preferred but not required
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
